Here’s a quick guide on how to create, edit, and publish your posts—plus essential tips to check before you hit publish.

Creating Your Post

  1. Start a New Post: Log into your WordPress dashboard and navigate to Posts > Add New. This opens the Block Editor.

  2. Add a Title: At the top, you’ll see a placeholder for your post title. Add a clear and engaging headline.

  3. Build Your Content: Use the "+" button or type "/" to insert blocks for paragraphs, headings, images, videos, galleries, and more. Drag and drop blocks to rearrange your layout.

Pre-Publishing Checklist

Before publishing your post, follow these steps to ensure it’s polished and ready to share with your audience:

  1. Set a Featured Image: • Choose a visually appealing image that represents your content. • Make sure it has a 16:9 aspect ratio for compatibility across platforms. • To set it, click on the Settings panel (gear icon), then under Post, select Featured Image and upload or choose an existing image.

  2. Cross-Post to Facebook: If you’ve integrated your WordPress site with Facebook, double-check that the option to cross-post is enabled. In the Settings panel, scroll to the Social section and verify the box for Facebook sharing is checked.

  3. Review Your Copy and Images: • Proofread your post for spelling, grammar, and formatting errors. • Check all images and videos to ensure they display correctly. • Test your links to avoid broken URLs.

  4. Consider Your Subscribers: Remember, when you publish a post, your email subscribers will receive a notification. Ensure your content is complete and accurate before publishing.

Publishing Your Post

  1. Click the Publish button at the top right corner of the editor.
